I guess there really is such thing as "EDC withdrawals." Last weekend I attended EDC Vegas with my boyfriend and some friends and my oh my, words can not describe the experience that I had. It was hands down the BEST weekend of my life. We booked two suites at the Venetian hotel and also bought a Juscollege shuttle pass. I would recommend anyone to get a shuttle pass because it is a hassle driving back from the venue to the  hotel at 5 in the morning in traffic, especially after dancing all night. This weekend was magical, and I am missing it already :(

Aside from the music, the good vibes, and the friendships, getting ready is always my favorite part of concerts and festivals. Here are my essentials that I packed for the trip!

1. A good primer is important since you'll be dancing and sweating (a lot!!!)
2. I used the Victoria's Secret shimmer lotion for glowy looking skin.
3. I really like the Joico hair spray. It smells good and is really light so you can spray onto your hair without feeling like your hair is going to clump. It's also travel size, which is always the best.
4. The bareMinerals mineral veil is the savior to all of my oily problems. Now that summer is here, I'm going to be depending on this.
5. Falsies are a must!

It's always hard picking one palette to take on a trip. I decided to go with my Rockstar Palette since there's a variety of colors I can play with. Also, I love the "Disco Disco" highlighter.

& MOST IMPORTANTLY:

I get thirsty easily, especially when I'm dancing all night long. My boyfriend bought a camel bak and it is the holy grail of water containers. You don't have to worry about carrying or losing a water bottle so I think it's definitely worth the investment.

& Last but not least, I wanted to share an illustration that I made. I'm currently saving up to buy myself an Intuos, so all I have right now is my tablet. The app that I used is called Sketchbook Express. The only con with it is that you can't have your palm touching the screen while you use the pen, but other than that, it's really fun to play around with.

Thanks for reading and good night! <3

Oh finals week is such a dreadful time of our lives.. Wearing the same sweat pants everyday, binging on processed foods, being deliriously caffeinated; ain't it just wonderful? But it is rewarding when you ace that exam, get the heck out of that lecture hall, and happily resume back to your normal routine you call life. I think the best way to start your summer break is by treating yourself to some post finals "pick-me-ups" and catching up on sleep.

Literally 2 hours after my last exam, I headed straight to the nail salon and got a new acrylic set and paint job. I wanted a bright and bold red/pink tone for summer so I decided to go with this color.

(The glare somehow make my nails look chipped here)

I've also been looking at sneaker wedges for months now, and I finally decided get a pair. I've been seeing how they're styled in the summer/spring on Pinterest, and I like how you can wear them casually with comfort (left) or more dressier with a sporty touch (right).

(Both images are from Pinterest)

I bought these Nike Dunk Sky Hi Prints, and they were on sale for $80 at Bloomingdales.

Lastly, I FINALLY got to watch the new X-men! It is so far my favorite one out of all the X-men movies. The concept/humor/action was perfect. I made an ultimate decision that I want a mix of Blink's teleportation and Magneto's powers. Can I please?

Happy Summer :)

Ooh, I've got the Finals Blues..

I thought I'd shared the highlight of my day. Here I have with me a big ol' bucket of fried chicken! What can I say? It's my inner Southern side of me and "you know I like my chicken fried   (Zac Brown Band)". With all these final exams and a paper due date coming up, a KFC study break is the cure for tonight's pre Finals cravings.

May Favorites

Here it is.. My first favorites post! I'm gonna have to thank Ipsy for this because two of the products in this picture are from my monthly glam bags : )

1. Iope Lip Palette
I really wish I knew the name of this product (I will update this if I ever figure it out) but this is a lip palette from Iope, which is a Korean brand. My mom actually gave me this one day because she had received a good deal at our nearby Korean make up store. I think this lip palette is perfect for casual spring/ summer days for when you just want to give your lips some life and color. There is a variety of colors and they are all bright and sheer (My phone camera did a horrible job of capturing the pigments!). Overall, I think this is perfect to have in your make up bag during this time of the year.

2. Make Up For Ever- Smoky Extravagant Mascara
I am loving everything about this mascara. The brush, the formula, and the whole package! I discovered this mascara when I received my make up forever birthday sample gift at Sephora in March and I liked it so much that I bought the big one. The brush is cone shaped and has a tip that allows you to really get in the corners and separate each lash. The formula is wet, which I like, and really adds length and volume. I also like how my lash curl holds.

3. Benefit's Stay Flawless 15-Hour Primer
What I love most about this primer is that it's a stick primer so it's very convenient to use. It doesn't make a mess and it's perfect for when you're in a hurry in the morning. I've been using this everyday and my make up lasts all day (it's been very hot!! and you know how sweaty we can all get). It has no scent and I would definitely buy this again.

4. Elizabeth Mott- pop! goes the shadow (April Ipsy Glam Bag)
I love love love the color of this eye shadow. I sometimes use it as a highlighter too. It has a little bit of shimmer and looks really pretty on your eyelids. When I'm feeling lazy, I'll just use my finger to apply this on my eyelid and put on some mascara and I'll be ready to go! This eyeshadow texture is also very soft and blends/applies so well.

5. Pacifica- Mineral Eyeshadow Duo (May Ipsy Glam Bag)
Pacifica, you never fail me. I've been getting into Pacifica's products this year, and I really like the quality of their products given that all of their makeup, perfume, etc are made with natural ingredients and minerals. I've been switching off between this eyeshadow and my Elizabeth Mott one and just using it as an eye shadow or highlighter. This is small so I can carry it in my purse and I am really like the neutral shimmer tones lately.

6. Nars Blush- Super Orgasm
I am so late on the Nars Blush wagon (VERY LATE!) and am wondering now... so why haven't I tried this before? This along with my body shop blush have got to be my favorites. I like how the Super Orgasm is more pink than the Orgasm. It also has gold specks that give my face that shiny unicorn glow ~ lol I don't know what I'm saying but I just love the gold shimmer! It goes well with the pink and with my skin tone. I think it's perfect for summer!

Non Beauty Monthly Favorites:

1. TV Show- Scandal
All I can say is that there's not a moment where you're not on your toes while you're watching this show. I just started this series and finished the first season in a couple of days. So much happens so fast in every single episode (you don't want to miss a second of it). If you've never heard of Scandal, it's a political series filled with juicy drama and so much thrill. It's about a woman named Olivia Pope (who is a badass) and her crisis management firm that works to solve scandals and political/ elitist problems. I love the cast and the character build up. I just started the second season and I heard it gets even better so I'm super excited. (and it's on Netflix!!)

2. Michael Jackson- Xscape
Add modern beat to Michael Jackson's pop talent and unique voice and you have this album to jam to. This album puts me in such a good mood and I love how classic/ eternal it is. My favorite songs in this album are "Love Never Felt so Good", "Chicago", "Loving You", and "A Place With No Name."

and That's it for my May Favorites!
