A Little Festival Haul

Technically, Summer isn't until about 20 days, but HEY! I'm just ready to watch Netflix and eat ice cream all day. (You thought I was gonna say go to the beach and put on a tan, huh?) Well that'd be nice too, but really, I just want to be done with school and catch up on some bum time. Recently I got hooked on Scandal, and oh man, I am hooked. I would really recommend it if you haven't watched it. Imagine House of Cards on fast forward with good guys actually achieving their justice. Anyways, I wanted to edit a water color painting that I made almost exactly 2 years ago, and here it is:

My "Summer is here"

I also wanted to add a little haul! My roommate and I attended the Jazz Reggae Festival, which is hosted every year at UCLA, and OF COURSE we end up shopping, eating, and not actually watching the performers. We both bought these handmade sandals in teal because it was the prettiest one and I love how summery it looks.

Weekend Blog

My weekend might be a fair example of Marilyn Monroe's quote "... and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together" if you wanna consider that chemistry midterms are "good things."

Friday evening, UCLA's annual Spring Sing event was held in Pauley Pavilion and it was GREAT once again. After that, there was a laser show at Royce Hall, in promotion of UCLA's biggest fundraising effort called the "Centennial Campaign." This campaign is actually the biggest ever aimed by a public university and UCLA is shooting for a $4.2 billion goal. Gasp, I know.

Yesterday, I achieved my lazy Saturday and my fat self watched the Chipotle documentary on Netflix then completed the X-men trilogy marathon. I think it's like my third time finishing the series. Anyways, I was thinking that if I had to choose, I would without a doubt join the brotherhood. Does this mean I can stand beside Magneto and somehow transfer between film dimensions and then be walking besides Gandalf as part of the fellowship?! and what kind of bad mass mutant would I be?!!

This morning, Jason took me to the Grand Central Market in downtown Los Angeles, and it was a neat place to explore. They had authentic foods as well as little hipster cuisine vendors and really cheap market goods like fruits, nuts, and spices. I got myself a kabab and it was delicious!! oh and a mint chocolate chip ice cream : )

X-men + food? Hands down a happy girl. Now time to watch Wolverine...

Goodnight!

Saturday Shenanigans

Oh, it feels so good to just drink some hot tea, turn on music, and be LAZY! I'm really not feeling some of my organic chemistry review so I decided to take a break and update the blog. I ended up doodling myself and tada! Why not do a little bum outfit of the day in drawing form? First, I drew this in pen then I uploaded it onto the computer and... after some filling in and editing magic on Pixlr.. here is my "Eunice is sick of her Alkene Reactions look."

Review: The Body Shop

Vitamin E Intense Moisturizer and Nourishing Night Cream
This is actually my second time purchasing the Vitamin E day and night creams. I was in the mood to try something new, but the moisturizers I wanted were a bit too pricey for me so I just decided to stick with these for another while (also, the website is having a huge sale!). Ever since I moved to LA for school, my skin has been drier and this stuff keeps my skin superbly moisturized. The intense skin moisturizer and night cream are both thick and fluffy,  and my skin just absorbs all of it and keeps the moisture in all day. Also they make my skin very consistent and I haven't had any break out issues. Not only are these affordable and good quality, but they last pretty long.

Jumbo Mango Butter (13.5 oz)
Now, notice how I said Jumbo? What you don't see is the rest of this body butter hiding beneath the packaging fillers. This thing is HUGE, and it's perfect for me because I tend to slather and use up my body butters really fast. When it comes to scents, I prefer a fresh/fruity scent over the more heavier ones. Mango is actually my favorite at The Body Shop and it smells so delicious!

Baked to Last Blush -Petal
I am loving this blush, oh my. It gives the perfect shimmer/highlight and the color just glides on and stays all day. I was looking for a new blush that is affordable, and I'm really glad I decided to try this out.

Born Lippy Stick

I only bought this in order to reach the free shipping minimum goal, so I'll update on this once I start using it.
